About this cause

The Geelong-based SPAN (Suicide Prevention Awareness Network) group has been holding its Suicide Awareness Walk annually since 2010.

A dream of its founding members, the Walk is a positive, active community event where people can come together and pay tribute to lost loved ones, offer support to those hurting and ultimately embrace the gift of life.

Hope Bereavement Care is proud to auspice the SPAN Suicide Awareness Walk.

The walk is free, but participants are invited to raise funds to help pay for the costs associated with the SPAN walk and to help fund the cost of Hope's free bereavement counselling staff, supporting families who have experienced the suicide death of a love one.

You can make a donation via this page, or you may like to fundraise for this cause, in memory of your loved one.  (See Fundraise for this Cause button at the top right of the screen).  Don't forget to share your crowdraiser as well (or even just share this give now page) The more people who know about SPAN and the work Hope do, the more people we are able to support!  (The share button is also top right of this page)
