The Olympic Village Exodus Community (Exodus Community) has a longstanding relationship with the Parade College commnuity. Based in West Heidelberg, the Exodusc Community advocates on behalf of those experiencing powerlessness: often people who are isolated and on a very low income. They work with families who experience complex forms of disadvantage which include: family violence, childhood trauma, homelessness and poverty. Exodus Community provide a range of activities for the community which include: a weekly Drop In meal and bread delivery (addressing food insecurity), an under 12’s Youth Group, outings and events to grow community, visitation to those who are isolated, social awareness education (service opportunities for secondary school students) and advocacy for folks in need.
